**My Thoughts on Lifting the NLTP Act** I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to share my thoughts on the idea of lifting the Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition (NLTP) Act. I understand that the NLTP Act was put in place to protect us from the dangers of alcohol. However, I have a few reasons why I think it might be time to reconsider the ban: 1. **Unsafe Illegal Alcohol**: Even though alcohol is banned, many people are still finding ways to buy it illegally. This alcohol is often unsafe and can harm people’s health. If we lift the ban and regulate alcohol sales, we can ensure that the alcohol people consume is safer. 2. **Support for Law Enforcement**: The current ban makes it hard for the police to control illegal alcohol sales. By allowing legal and controlled sales, the police can focus more on other important issues that affect our community. 3. **Economic Benefits**: Right now, the illegal sale of alcohol doesn’t contribute to our state’s income. If alcohol sales were legal and taxed, the money raised could be used to improve public services, such as healthcare and education. 4. **Better Education and Control**: With legal alcohol sales, we can also educate people about responsible drinking and have better control over who buys alcohol, reducing the risks of alcohol abuse. I respect the NBCC’s role in guiding our community, and I believe it’s important to have a balanced approach that considers both the benefits and risks of lifting the ban. I’m hopeful that by working together, we can find a solution that works for everyone.

Churches and NBCC are only concerning about the tarnishing the image of the so called DRY State (Christian State) but don't see the real evil effect of the Act that are causing our Nagaland societies. The Act is just a wolf in sheep clothing.

Im overwhelmingly happy that former General Secretary NBCC sir/Dr. Pongshing came up with clarification in the social media with his vast knowledge on history, social, legal context of past and present for implementation of NLTP Act in Nagaland. Nagas need more of leaders, bold and clear thinking like him. Long life to you sir!

Sharing a thought onNLTP act is anyway good but a lot of disadvantages like adulterated liqour poor quality with higher rate.This is the real benefit of NLTP Act for the people of Nagaland😂😂

Please 📌my comment- Sir it is my humble request to please remove NLTP Act of 1989 because we are in 2024 We all know the consequences of drinking alcohol. I promise there won’t be any negative impact even if we remove NLTP Act as of now. The role of churches is to save someone’s life (soul)and not to involve in law making body please. Remember Our State is a part of Government of the people, by the People and for the People.

Due to consuming adulterated alcohol Hundreds of Christian Nagas are dying every Year. Families are getting destroyed... Kids are growing up without a Father... Wife's are living life without a husband. So, Whether NLTP or No NLTP It's a shame to be called a Christian State. Shame on me , Shame on us, Shame on NBCC , Shame on We Nagas.

With due respect Sir, I don't agree with you because..for the last many years what were you all doing NBCC. Also, in short NLTP Act is completely failures and can never be fulfilled or success by NPCC or Nagaland Govt or NGO's.NLTP will be always failures unless peoples get into education.
